[275]. A Message From A Poem – The John 14 Triad
Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Jan 24, 2026 (message contributor)
[275]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE JOHN 14 TRIAD
This poem is based on one verse which is this in answer to a question Thomas asked – {{John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father but through Me.”}}
This is a critical verse for eternal salvation. There is only one WAY. There is only one DOOR. There is only one GATE. The current Pope is a pantheist when it come to being accepted by God. He has actually said that an atheist can be saved if he is sincere about his belief. Over and over again that false belief is contradicted by the bible.
The TRIAD in the Poem Title is the three aspects belonging to Jesus. The WAY; the TRUTH; the LIFE. The poem deals with those three aspects. That sums up everything we need for our spiritual life. We need to know where we are going; we need to know the genuineness and veracity of our belief; we need to know that abundant life leading to everlasting life in the Lord’s presence.
An old chorus we used to sing at Sunday School and youth groups is this (part of it) –
“Without the Way there is no going.
Without the TRUTH there is no knowing.
Without the LIFE there is no growing.”
Have you heard the expression, “All roads lead to heaven,” sometimes termed as, “All paths lead to God?” Well it is not true. The bible is sincere in wanting all to be saved and sets that out so you don’t make a mistake – {{Acts 4:12 “and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”}}
JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.
===============================================================
THE JOHN 14 TRIAD
“I am the WAY,” the first of the triad:
There is no other gate; no other door.
This assurance is paramount to faith,
Because other ways . . . there are no more.
================
Jesus Christ is the way to God’s presence,
And we know that way, for the Lord we know.
The way He prepared through death on the cross;
That way is now light, not bathed in shadow.
================
Jesus Christ is the way to God’s blessings,
So the Father loves to bless His children.
Great blessings in the word of God contained
For us, we find when His book we open.
================
Jesus Christ is the way through confusion
In a world that’s completely lost its way.
Religious and political mayhem,
Without the Lord’s help, will lead us astray.
================
Jesus Christ is the way to peace and hope.
Society lives with fear and concern,
For it won’t acknowledge Creator God,
But in the bible His way we discern.
================
“I am the TRUTH,” the next of the triad.
Without truth there is no proper knowledge.
The wisdom of God is contained in Christ.
Truth is known, if that fact we acknowledge.
================
The wisdom of the world is foolishness,
As man’s philosophy is corrupted,
But only in Christ can we distinguish
Truth from error. Man’s truth is bankrupted.
================
Jesus Christ is the truth for the future.
People want to know where they are going.
Many are misled by winds of doctrine,
And thrash about, without the truth knowing.
================
Without the truth the world is ignorant,
For truth provides for freedom and release.
“What is truth?” asked Pilate in his darkness.
Knowledge gives wisdom and wisdom gives peace.
================
“I am the LIFE,” the last of the triad –
Jesus affirmed this one essential fact;
The eternal God, in whom there is life,
Died in my place in one supreme act.
================
Forgiveness of sin from death unto life,
With new life imparted at salvation;
Eternally His, the Substitute gave
His new life that saved us from damnation.
================
In Jesus Christ, there’s life forever more,
Of holiness and righteousness.
His life is given to us who believe,
And we are alive through God’s graciousness.
================
There are two ways resulting in two ends –
Two destinies; one of life; one of death.
Make absolutely sure what path you are on
Before your life ends with its final breath.
================
The stadium of life has one entrance;
One exit also when one must depart.
There is only one way to the Father –
It’s through Jesus Christ. That’s where you must start.
================
Through Jesus Christ, not through Allah or Budda;
Not through any man or thing or belief:
All must come to the Father by Jesus;
Any other way is eternal grief.
================
God is so clear – there is only ONE WAY
Through Jesus Christ alone, and you’ll not be lost.
He sacrificed all in love that’s immense;
To reject the Lord – well you count the cost!
================
Yes, “I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.”
No one comes to the Father but by Me.”
Come to the Saviour, repent and believe.
Jesus the Lord is worth it! Come, taste and see!
