[152]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – JESUS CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL IN ALL MATTERS

This is the only poem I have written this way. It is quite unusual as you see with scattered words that rhyme, and play on words. I think of it as one long thread with all these points hanging from it.

I don’t expect everyone will relate to the poem but try to see the thread through it. The commas are important, and you should read it slowly.

It does have certain key words in it, namely, cost, pain, gift, and believe. I suppose the title comes from all the issues mentioned in the poem because of the embracing nature of the Lord. All words relate to Jesus Christ and a person’s position in Him.

JESUS IS ALL IN ALL.

In the NASB, the expression “all in all” is used in two places. Here is the first – {{1 Corinthians 15:28 “and when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, that God may be ALL IN ALL.”}}

Here is the second – {{Ephesians 1:23 “which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills ALL IN ALL.”}}

Indeed, Jesus is ALL IN ALL!!

JESUS CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL IN ALL MATTERS

O Sinner, you are lost; count the cost.

In uncertainty you are tossed.

Count the cost if you are lost,

For when you’re lost, there is no gain.

There is no gain but only pain.

In vain you try to refrain

From hurting, so peace you obtain.

Recount again or stay in pain.

========================

Pain indeed, will not meet your need.

You need to feed and to heed –

Heed the Lord and feed on Him.

You need to let Him lift your pain,

And shift you into His gift.

Be very swift to take His gift.

You can’t afford the rift to be adrift.

Don’t drift away, but His call obey.

========================

Obey today; don’t delay.

Weigh the consequence of being away,

Where all will stray and decay.

Come to Jesus along God’s way.

========================

Sinners Jesus will receive when they believe.

Repent and believe; then you’ll not grieve.

Satan will deceive. God’s message he’ll thieve.

Leave what is lost, and God will retrieve.

To believe in God is a fight,

So in that fight, get it right.

Don’t lose sight of God’s light;

The light of salvation that is right.

Jesus is your bright beginning and end –

The end of loss; the end of pain. All that blend.

On Him depend; then you’ll spend

Eternity with your new Friend.

========================

You encountered the cost of being lost.

Now you will not remain in pain.

To heed the call, you came to believe.

You came through the fight into the light.

Now you’ll depend on your new Friend.

JESUS CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL IN ALL MATTERS.
