St. Patrick's Day | Cost Of Discipleship
Shared on: Mar 6, 2017
Jesus laid his life down for us on the Cross. As with the first disciples, Jesus commissioned St. Patrick in the 5th Century, and He now commissions us to take up our cross and follow Him so that God's great love in Christ may be spread to neighbors, colleagues, enemies, and to the ends of the earth. For many, through history such discipleship has meant sacrifice, suffering, and even the death of martyrdom. These saints show us the reality of discipleship's cost. Take the opportunity of St. Patrick's Day to help your congregation remember missionaries, like St. Patrick, and to consider their examples of faithful sacrifice.
