The risen Christ is with us always. He walks with us on every road. He is with us at the heights of joy and celebration and in the pits of terror and despair. He is always with us, but we do not recognise him. Nevertheless, he journeys with us to the end of our lives.

When the Bible says that God remembered something, it is not implying forgetfulness. God always remembers it is part of His nature. The statement that “God remembered” places an emphasis on His faithfulness and everlasting care.

A farmer who wanted to sell his donkey. A potential buyer showed up and looked the animal over. He asked if he could hitch him up to the wagon and see how he worked. The farmer did so and climbed up into the wagon with the customer handing him the reins.
