You know that feeling....Someone has done you wrong and you have the chance to do wrong back to them....But should you? What could happen if you do....and if you choose to do the right thing instead?

  • A Bibilical Deacon

Contributed by Dwight Kennedy on Feb 22, 2018
    based on 1 rating

I want us to look at what the BIBLE gives as qualifications of a deacon. Also, the question sometimes comes up, "Do we really need deacons now?" I believe that stems from a misunderstanding of what a deacon should actually be.

The church has many positions that are filled with Godly men and Godly woman, but the Bible only teaches of two offices: 1) Bishop, Elder, Overseer, or Pastor, and 2) Deacon. Churches today are filled with men who may hold the TITLE of deacon, but their lives disqualify them from actually being a ...read more

The life of Jesus is the greatest example we have of how we should conduct ourselves as Christians. Jesus was both celebrated and ridiculed. Today we will discuss what to do when this happens to us by looking at the life and ministry of Jesus as our example.

There are abundant reasons why God's people should rejoice in the Lord. The source of the believer's joy is not in the world, nor in themselves, but in the Lord. They sing unto Him a new song, because they have been made new creatures, who enjoy new delights.

During this Christmas season, it makes sense that we should follow Mary’s prophetic declaration, “all generations will call me blessed”, by praying her prayer, the Magnificat, and asking God to give us the same spirit of obedience she had.

December 22 The Magnificat Today's vesper antiphon speaks to Jesus as the "King of all the nations, the only joy of every human heart." One of the now "traditional" movies lots of people see each Christmas is one set in the middle of the last century. It's called ...read more

When we look at Jesus during his trial, what do we see? Who do we see? Also, Pilate should not be read sympathetically. He's not open-minded, and he fears the wrong thing/person.

When you read commentators on the Gospel of John, there are two very different ways to understand our story today, about Jesus' trial before Pilate. Everyone agrees that the focus of today's story, in many ways, is on Pilate. He is the only one in every scene. He's like the glue that ...read more
