BIG IDEA: To Glorify GOD is to give HIM honor and praise. It also means to live our lives in a way that pleases HIM. In scripture, we learn to forgive because we have been forgiven. In this same sense, we Glorify GOD because HE Glorifies us through JESUS.

  • Avoid Harmful Relationships.

Contributed by Shaila Touchton on Mar 10, 2024
    based on 1 rating

The Bible doesn't ask us to seek out perfect people, but rather to build relationships with fellow sinners who have experienced God's transformative love. At the same time, Scripture does provide guidance on setting boundaries and being mindful of the company we keep.

2 Timothy 2:22, is a great example of this balance. It encourages us to flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, while also seeking out relationships with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. This reminds us to prioritize relationships that promote ...read more

  • The Parables Of Jesus: The Lost Sheep & The Lost Coin Series

Contributed by Justin Steckbauer on Apr 15, 2022
     | 2,373 views

Time and again in the New Testament we see Jesus sharing parables and stories related to shepherds and sheep. It’s very very common. From psalm 23, talking about the rod and staff of the shepherd, to Jesus calling himself “the gate for the sheep” it’s throughout the scriptures.

“Dr. Andrew Bonar told me how, in the Highlands of Scotland, a sheep would often wander off into the rocks and get into places that they couldn't get out of. The grass on these mountains is very sweet and the sheep like it, and they will jump down ten or twelve feet, and then they can't ...read more

Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness after fasting for forty days. Each time Satan tempted Him, Jesus responded with scripture, choosing to rely on God alone. When we face testing in our own lives, we can stand firm in our faith and trust in God's provision.

Imagine you're in the middle of a desert, no food, no water, and you've been there for 40 days. You're starving, thirsty, and all alone. Suddenly, a guy shows up offering you all the food and water you could ever want, but there's a catch. You have to do something that goes against everything you ...read more

Everybody’s overloaded. Nobody has any margin in their lives. Everybody is trying to do so much. We don’t have time to do what’s most important because every moment is packed. This is madness. It can’t be God’s will for our lives. In our Scripture toda

  • What Is Hell?

Contributed by Richard Futrell on Oct 7, 2010
     | 3,354 views

Scripture describes God as both an all-consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29) and an illuminating light (Psalm 119:105; 1 John 1:5). Both the rich man and Lazarus saw the same reality: God in all His blazing glory. One expereinced heaven; one expereinced hell.

Intro Many people believe that Christianity is one, big, fat lie. It must be, they assume, because they see so much injustice in this world. They say, “How can there be a God if He allows so much evil to exist?” Even in the Bible we find complaints about injustice in this world. ...read more

Our un-named Syrophoencian woman (Although called “Justa” by Constitine as early as the end of the 2nd century) had a lot going on. She was a woman, Gentile, desperate because her daughter was demon possessed.Scripture tells us she “cried out.”

Healing 8 A 21 Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the district of Tyre and Sidon.22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is cruelly demon-possessed."23 But He did not answer her a word.
