Jesus came to lift us out of the pit of the muck and mire of this world in which people are being held captive. The Bible teaches us to sing a "New Song" to the Lord. What this is basically saying is that our praise should be fresh and new because God's mercy are new every morning and He is still working in the lives of those who follow in faith and obedience.
