  • The Black Of Sin Series

Contributed by Jeff Strite on Sep 6, 2025
    based on 3 ratings

I couldn't find a scripture that equated sin or iniquity with the color black (a color of bead used in the popular "witness bracelet"). But the Bible does talk about sin as a "deep darkness" and that description has powerful implications for Christians.

It was a dark, dark night. A man was making his way home from working late, and as he often did, he walked home through a cemetery because it was a quicker route. However, because it was so dark, he didn’t notice a new grave had been dug in his path, and he tumbled into a 7 foot deep hole in the ...read more

Contributed by John Gaston on Nov 4, 2023
    based on 1 rating

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends.” Our own deliverance may hinge on how we pray for others. This is a rewrite of Charles Spurgeon's great message.

CAPTIVITY TURNED BY INTERCESSORY PRAYER Job 42:10 INTRODUCTION A. HUMOR 1. Evan, 5 year old, told his daddy he'd like to have a baby brother. “If you pray every day for two months for a baby brother, I bet that God will give you one!" 2. Evan prayed every night for a whole month, ...read more

This sermon explores the principles of the Sermon on the Mount, focusing on understanding and applying the Beatitudes and discerning false prophets in our lives.

Welcome, beloved congregation. It is always a joy to gather together in the house of our Lord, to share in the warmth of fellowship and the nourishment of His Word.      | 1,273 views

This sermon explores our divine design as God's image bearers, encouraging us to understand our inherent dignity and fulfill our God-given duties.

Good Morning, beloved congregation! Isn't it a marvel how each sunrise ushers in a new day, full of promise and potential? It's as if God, in His infinite wisdom, paints the sky with hues of hope and whispers, "This is a new day. Embrace it!" That's the beauty of our God. He is always creating, ...read more

  • Quinceanera - Caterpillar To Butterfly

Contributed by Jeff Strite on Sep 17, 2022
    based on 4 ratings

What does it mean to be transformed into the image of Christ? This Quinceanera message addresses more than just a coming of age celebration. It focuses on the butterfly-like change that can take place in God's people.

(I was honored to preach the sermon at the Quinceanera - pronounced “kin-sin-yarra” - of one of our Hispanic members. I wanted to do this right, so I studied a lot about this event means. I discovered that a Quinceanera is a celebration of the 15th birthday (Quinceanera literally means “15th year). ...read more

  • In God's Throne Room Series

Contributed by Simon Bartlett on Sep 22, 2022
     | 1,504 views

A time will come when God will convene his court and pass judgement on the world. Justice will be done. God, in acting justly, will be glorified. Satan’s dominion will be destroyed, and the saints will possess the kingdom. It starts in a court room.

INTRODUCTION Revelation is a difficult book. We can’t deny that. The fact that it’s difficult might put us off reading it. But as well as being difficult, many Christians don’t like Revelation’s message. Among other things, it talks about tribulation and wrath and judgment. Other parts of the ...read more

  • Zerubbabel Series

Contributed by John Lowe on Oct 1, 2022

Although Zerubbabel's Temple was less in size than Solomon's, God affirmed a more incredible honor: "The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," said the Lord (Haggai 2:9).

Zerubbabel Zerubbabel: The Head of Judah The name "Zerubbabel" means born at Babel, i.e., Babylon. Zerubbabel was the grandson of King Jehoiachin of Judah (1 Chronicle 3:17) and, therefore, a descendant of David. Born in Babylon during the exile of Judeans, Zerubbabel migrated to Judah ...read more

Who was Melchizedek? And how does he relate to Jesus?

I wonder if anyone can tell me what is the Old Testament passage most frequently quoted in the New Testament… You might think it’s something like Leviticus 19:18, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” If you’re really into the writings of the minor prophets, you might come up with an ...read more

Contributed by T.j. Conwell on May 28, 2022
     | 3,191 views

Level Set: False teachers are not new, and they have always existed. The legitimacy of God’s Word (the Bible) is where we find our foundation and wisdom, and it is within its pages that we see the dangers of following those who are not grounded in the Word of God.

The Dangers of False Teachers 2 Peter Sermon Series, Part 3 2 Peter 2:1-22 Introduction - Purpose: Peter gives guidance and reassurance to the growing church -- As a disciple maker his desire is to see others grow in knowledge of Christ -- Promise he stands on: the Gospel we/they are ...read more

  • Jacob- His Almost Final Journey Series

Contributed by Jonathan Spurlock on Jun 7, 2022
     | 1,000 views

This last message covers the last words of Jacob before he died. Even though he does not live on this earth, his journey is not yet complete.

Introduction: The end of any project, whether a report, book manuscript, or even messages like these are always bittersweet, in my opinion. There’s always the question of did I add too much or not enough; did I really think this through; perhaps other things as well. Through this look at Jacob’s ...read more

  • The Redemptive Purpose Of Discipline Series

Contributed by Christian Cheong on Jun 9, 2022
     | 1,768 views

Paul's judgment reveals the redemptive purpose of discipline - for the sinner as well as for the purity and witness of the church.

Paul, like a spiritual father, admonishes the Corinthians whom he regards as his spiritual children. • He cares for them like a nursing mother and corrects them like a father would, urging them to walk in a manner worthy of God. (cf. 1 Thess 2:7,11) • Paul taught them in word and by his example, ...read more

Contributed by Howard Strickland on Dec 6, 2021
     | 2,657 views

What do you do when the heat is on, and persecution present. Peter denies the word who became flesh. Peter denies his association with God.

Silencing the Rooster. Matthew 26:74-75NKJV As a child, being a slave on a plantation, Booker T. Washington was awakened every morning by the crowing of a rooster. And he hated it. Every morning the rooster would start making its loud racket before the sun even came up. Eventually, the rooster ...read more

Contributed by Dr. Jwt Spies on Dec 18, 2021
    based on 4 ratings

    Being delivered

When I investigate the ministry as a whole I see that it demands faithfulness, fidelity, and dependability. The bible teaches us that the ministry demands that one never faint, fade out, or become hazy. The words "faint not" in the Greek means not to give up, not to lose heart, not to ...read more

  • Eschatology 3 Of 16 Our Glorified Bodies (2 Of 2)

Contributed by Dr. Odell Belger on Apr 13, 2022
     | 1,713 views

In the last two sermons, we have been talking about the rapture of the church. I want to remind you again, the rapture is different from the second coming of Christ.

    • At the Second Coming, the Lord will literally come to the earth and set up His kingdom on earth for a thousand years. • When the rapture of the church takes place, the Lord will not come back to the earth, but the church will be caught up to meet Him in the air. Look at 1 Thess 4:17 “Then we ...read more
