John the Baptizer wasted no time in telling Herod that it was wrong for him to have his brother Phillip’s wife saying that it was not lawful. John went to prison for being the prophet God called him to be and not the puppet that Herod wanted him to be.

The curse of sin brought death but Jesus took our curse on the cross. We are redeemed and all the great promises of Abraham are given to us by faith. This is a lovely passage today, and it could be an Easter message as well. Christ died for our sins becoming the curse for us. Easter.

Paul found himself within a Roman prison, but he refused to be defeated. Although confined and isolated, he desired to continue for the Lord. As long as he lived, he wanted to be useful for the Lord. He refused to allow circumstances to dictate his life.
