The terminology for how God will reward tithers is extreme.God says He will “open the floodgates of Heaven.” This phrase was first used to describe the amount of water that fell during Noah’s flood (Gen. 7:11).

Everything belongs to God and we are stewards of what God entrusts to us. God requires we give back to Him a tenth of all our income. God tells us that to fail to pay tithes is to rob Him of what's His. If we do tithe we receive a seventh-fold blessing.
