In these verses of scripture, we have an authentic description of the true church of God. This is what God, Himself, says about the church. On every hand today the church and the very use of the word “church” is misunderstood.
Reihold Niebuhr said this about the church, “The church is a lot like Noah’s ark, if it weren’t for the storm on the outside, you could not stand the stink on the inside.”
True of many churches today, I don’t know of any time when the church has made more racket and been less effective in the world
