These are the words of God spoken regarding two men Joshua and Caleb, both of whom were good friends. The question we need to ask ourselves is, ‘Do we have such true and good friends in our lives?’ Often, we don’t take time to choose these good friends.

Today’s meditation is based on Numbers 14:30, “You will not enter and occupy the land I swore to give you. In our text we read of Israel’s greatest general. His name is Joshua. In Joshua 23, Joshua had reached the golden years of his life.

The life of Joshua, of the Bible, is unique in many ways. First, it is unique in that his name is mentioned in the Bible. If God had said nothing about him at all except to mention his name, that would have made him very special.

He was even more unique in that we have a record of his life when he was A YOUNG MAN and also when he was OLD MAN.
