Isaiah's writings contain numerous references to the rule and person of God's Messiah. There are two specific passages worth examining. The first deals with His rule as King. The other deals with the righteous kingdom He will create and rule over forever in peace and joy.

Isaiah presents a series of prophecies that pertain to the person and role of God's Messiah. In Chapter 11:1-9, he describes the character of the future kingdom where the creation will live at peace.

God's (exilic) people are currently blind and deaf, which makes it hard for them to be good servants. God encourages them to change that-- to "acknowledge" and "trust" Him, and understand that God is He Who Remains.
