Jesus came so that we could have a really good life. But to have that good life, we have to listen to Jesus and do what he says. When we obey Jesus no matter what happens, we will face hard times and suffering, but we will also experience God’s presence and provision.

Jesus told his friends that he was going to suffer, be killed, and then rise again. They didn't get it because they thought the Messiah was supposed to be invincible. But Jesus was showing them that suffering and death were part of God’s plan. Imagine if you had a piece of coal. It's black, dirty, ...read more

“Are we there yet?” These familiar words usually come from bored back seat travelers during a long car trip. Unlike a long trip to grandma’s house, a Christian’s trip to heaven comes with a list of guarantees. We may encounter some hard things along the w

With God’s help, we can live wisely! “You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.” James 3:18 (MSG)

Living the Foolproof Life James 3:13-18 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such ...read more

  • The Injustices Of Life

Contributed by Jerry Cosper on May 18, 2022
     | 3,016 views

Life can throw many hard things at us. We may even be tempted to let our hope in God fade. We want to scream, “Where is the justice?” As we move along a little further in Joseph's life God would want us to be encouraged that he will always see his children through.

Today I want to talk about the injustices of life. Have you walked through a season when you couldn't seem to catch a break? Did you ever wonder if good days would ever return? Maybe you lost a job around the same time a loved one died. Or you were going through a painful divorce just as ...read more

  • The Shortest Sermon Series

The success of Jonah is hard to believe. Skeptical scholars just flatly deny it. The facts are amazing. Jonah was preaching a message he didn't want to, and so his heart really was not in it. He really hoped it would be a flop even though he obeyed the letter of God's command.

As we all know, the Bible is very brief on its account, considering all the centuries that it covers. It was not designed to tell us everything and to give an exhaustive and detailed record of God's working. It was designed to give us basic truths, principles, and examples of their operation ...read more

  • God Is Love

Contributed by Stan Lobin on Nov 16, 2022
     | 2,758 views

What do we do with the the fact that God is love and we were created in His image? How do we, in our brokenness, love an invisible God and those hard to love people that God has commanded us to love? God has a plan or a road map for us to follow to make us more loving.

God is love! Of course all Christians should have heard that phrase and believe that it is true because we are told that God is love in the Bible. 1 John 4:7-21 NASB 7 Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 The one who ...read more

  • One More Night With The Frogs

Contributed by Grant Adams on Dec 30, 2022
     | 1,977 views

When Pharaoh was plagued with the frogs, he cried out to Moses that he had had enough. Moses asked him when did he want God to remove them. Pharaoh said, "Tomorrow." He had to have one more night with the frogs. Why is sin so hard to let go of?

God’s people had been in bondage and oppression for many years. God’s desire was to deliver them just as it is God’s desire to see everyone delivered who are in the bondage of sin and oppression. Therefore, God sent Moses and Aaron to pharaoh with the message to let his people go. Exodus 4:22-23. ...read more

  • The Unpardonable Sin Series

Contributed by Scott Maze on Jun 12, 2021
     | 5,195 views

The Unpardonable Sin is a particular teaching that has really haunted people for a long time. As a pastor, people often ask if they have committed the sin that cannot and will not be forgiven. Some here today have a paralyzing fear they have committed the “unpardonable sin.”

Several weeks ago, I asked for your help in your choice of today’s sermon. Your top choice was “When Will Jesus Return to Earth?” But a little analysis of the results led us to understand that it was really only this early service that asked for this topic. So … at 9:30, 11 and at Cross Church, our ...read more

Contributed by Scott Maze on Aug 28, 2024
     | 1,356 views

I want to answer one question this morning: How Do You Know if You are a Genuine Believer?

Can you remember a time when you were truly offended? I’ll be 53 later this year, and I was recently asked if I’d like the “senior discount” at a nearby restaurant. After I noted all my grey hair, the waitress really recovered well when she said, “Well, you don’t have wrinkles on your face.” Have ...read more

If My name is lifted up, Jesus said “I will draw all men unto me” Think about it, God gave us the easy part, He’s the one with the real challenge. Its funny how human nature is, anytime were involved in it, we always think that we have the hard part!
