Tree of Life Messianic Congregation Houston. Joseph had an opportunity to punish his brothers for their treachery but instead forgave them. The result was a cohesive people group leaving Egypt 400 years later to become the nation of Israel. Forgiveness brings healing.

At the end of life and facing death Joseph is the story of a victorious faith. Hebrews 11 is the hall of faith chapter. In the faith hall of fame are Joseph’s father Jacob, his grandfather Isaac, his great grandfather Abraham.

I find it very inspiring when someone facing death looks forward to heaven by faith. They have the assurance of things hoped for. They know that they will go to heaven when they die. The Forgiveness Of Joseph

Though Joseph's brothers intended to harm him, God intended to work through their actions for good. Ultimately this truth allowed Joseph to forgive his brothers. Forgiveness may sometimes be a decision we have to make but we can do so trusting that God will work good through it.
