There aren’t many solemn if not downright interesting passages in the Bible than Jacob’s dream of a ladder extending from heaven to earth, with angels going up and down it. It is designed to both instruct, support, and comfort believers in Jesus Christ.

Nathaniel is open-minded enough to come see Jesus for himself, and overcomes his initial skepticism. This makes him the ideal Israelite. Also, Jesus is not a ladder. Angels come "to" Jesus, not "upon" him.

God Loves Camping

The best way to get to know God is by spending some alone time with Him. We see this is true for Bible characters who went "camping" and while they were alone, God met with them.
