  • Land Flowing With Milk And Honey

Contributed by Samuel M on Dec 18, 2024

Exodus 3:17 Israel was a land a flowing milk and honey not because it had big ...read more

Jonah has some lame excuses for why he did not want to obey God and preach to the city of Nineveh. There are many others in the bible who gave excuses and the question is “Are we also giving excuses?” or “Are we fulfilling the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus and leading others into His kingdom?”

We read in Jonah 4:2, “And he prayed to the LORD and said, “O LORD, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.” ...read more

Have you ever wondered why God places certain people in your life or calls you to a specific task? Some callings are meant to fulfill a specific purpose, others to last only for a season, and a few are designed to span a lifetime—all serving God’s greater plan for His kingdom.

Some for a REASON, some for a SEASON, and some for a LIFETIME The concept that “God calls some into a specific ministry for a reason, some for a season, and some for a lifetime” reflects the biblical understanding of the variety, purpose, and timing of God’s callings. Throughout Scripture, we see ...read more

Jonah sat outside the city of Nineveh in the blazing heat fuming against God, but God graciously appointed a plant to grow and give shade to Jonah. No matter what our situation is, let’s remember that God is mindful of us and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

For our meditation let us look at Jonah 4:6, “Now the LORD God appointed a plant and made it come up over Jonah that it might be a shade over his head, to save him from his discomfort. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the plant.” (ESV) God gave Jonah a task to go and preach against ...read more
