Summary: Israel was a land a flowing milk and honey not because it had big rivers or good physical conditions (as Egypt had), but because it was nourished and watered by dew and rivers of heaven. It was watered by the rain of heaven, whose chief agriculturist is God Himself.

I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey. Exodus 3:17

Israel was a land a flowing milk and honey not because it had big rivers or good physical conditions (as Egypt had), but because it was nourished and watered by dew and rivers of heaven. It was watered by the rain of heaven, whose chief agriculturist is God Himself. The great rivers of God which watered the garden of Eden also watered the land of Isreal. If you look at the topography of Israel, you will notice that it was a landlocked country and did not have lot of physical provisions and rivers like Egypt.

Israel did not have big rivers like Egypt, but it had a God who opened his reservoirs of heaven to water the land. God, the chief agriculturist, used all of the best divine farming methods to make the land very fertile and rich with abundant minerals. The land was very fertile, producing plentiful crops. The fruits were three times larger than usual fruits. It was only divine flow of everything – divine flow of wisdom, rain, mercy and so on. The land was fertile due to heavenly and divine inflows, not because of physical conditions or hard work. God was cultivating this land.

It was a land of divine provisions and inflows. God provided the land with His divine provisions from His storehouses. God provided the divine deposits of everything -His wisdom, knowledge, mercy, abundance, which transformed the land into a land flowing with milk and honey. When Israel entered the land, they stopped depending on God because of which the flow of divine provisions stopped. When Israel sinned and relied on its own strength, the channel of divine inflows closed, and the land became infertile. Complete dependence on God opens the divine inflows from the storehouses of God to flow into our lives.

When start depending on God, your life can be transformed into a land of milk and honey. Dependence on God opens up the storehouses of God, allowing divine provisions from heaven to flow into your life. Our lives will be taken care of in all seasons since the storehouses and rivers of heaven never run dry. The rivers of God are always full and overflowing, regardless of season, and there is no shortage. There is no In season or off season with God. Start depending on God and His seasons, so that the earthly seasons of famine and abundance do not affect you. Even during an earthly famine, your needs will be fully meet. The world may suffer amid famine, but his children who rely on God will thrive and flourish.

Let our lives be nourished and watered by the dew and rivers of heaven. Let our needs be met by divine provisions from the storehouses of God. Let we draw from heaven’s storehouses for our daily needs and provisions. May we live like heaven's citizens on earth, using heaven's currency for our needs. Heaven's currency is dependence on God. By dependence on God we can draw from heaven’s storehouses. Start depending on God.
