What is grace? Grace is an unmerited favour; it is kindness from God that we do not deserve. We enjoy God’s grace because He is a merciful God.

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the ...read more

  • "Growing In Grace Together”

Contributed by Austin Calder on Apr 21, 2020
     | 5,288 views

Grace is a terribly misunderstood word and defining it sufficiently is very difficult. Some of the most detailed theology textbooks do not offer any concise definition of the term. Someone came up with this acronym: GRACE is God’s---Riches--- At---Christ’s---Expense.

That’s not a bad way to characterize grace. One of the best-known definitions of grace is only three words: God’s unmerited favor. A. W. Tozer expanded on that idea by saying, “Grace is the good pleasure of God that allows him to bestow benefits on the undeserving.” The key word in what have ...read more
