  • Eschatology 5 Of 16 The Tribulation Period

Contributed by Dr. Odell Belger on Apr 13, 2022
    based on 1 rating

In the last sermon, we started dealing with the most dreadful time in the history of man - the seven years known as THE TRIBULATION PERIOD. This period of time will take place after the rapture of the church, and we are placed in our glorified bodies.

Let’s take a minute to review what we talked about in the last sermon - I. THE PURPOSE OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD We dealt with two things in the first sermon as to why God allows this time to take place on earth. A. TO PREPARE ISRAEL FOR THE MESSIAH They will be convinced that Christ is Who He ...read more

  • Embracing Grace

Contributed by Isaac Butterworth on Apr 2, 2022
     | 3,167 views

The vast majority of people do not "accept" Christ (Luke 4:24) but refuse the "favor" (grace) He offers (v. 19). God has sent Christ to offer His grace. We must embrace the grace offered in Christ. Luke shows us how.

There’s a key word in this passage that I would like to point out. It is not obvious in the English, so it’s a bit tricky. But the word ‘favor’ in verse 19 and the word ‘acceptable’ in verse 24 render the same Greek word, which is dektos. In fact, in the King James Version it is translated ...read more

  • Give Your Life Away Series

Contributed by Isaac Butterworth on Apr 5, 2022
     | 2,040 views

There are at least four core commitments for Christian living: (1) abide in the Word, (2) pray your heart out, (3) be killing sin, and (4) give your life away.

Our lives tell a story—a story about who we are and what we value, where we’ve come from and where we’re going, what we want and what we’ll do to get it. And what most of us do is, we make “the story” of our lives about us. But God makes “the story” of our lives about Christ. Someone has said, ...read more

  • Walking In The Anointing

Contributed by Ajai Prakash on Apr 26, 2024
     | 2,994 views

The Anointing does not point to the believer, but to God who empowers the believer. However, Jesus is the Anointed One, and you are a conduit for His power.

Opening illustration: At a remote underground church in the Middle East, our meeting started with exuberant worship. Many raised their hands, fell on their knees and faces, and sang joyously to the Lord. We witnessed many women crying out and weeping to God. After the sermon, as I stood behind the ...read more

The gloom, despair and oppression so vivid in Isaiah’s day is overshadowed by a new light the prophet sees. This prophet moves from walking in darkness to walking in the light; from oppression to justice; from war to peace. A brighter day is on the way!

Sermon: A Brighter Day is on the Way!’ Isaiah 9:2-7 “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. Labels are applied easily--some are undeserved, and some should be embraced. If we stand with Christ and His Word, we can anticipate vilification. Paul obviously expected elders to stand firming on some truths.

“Teach and urge these things. If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for ...read more

If you spend time around groups of kids, be it in sports, music, social or other setting, you will quickly notice some interesting interactions. One that I have seen repeated time and time again revolves around how parents treat their own children when other children are around. If they are in a ...read more
