All Saints and All Souls are the Church triumphant in Heaven in union with us, the church militant, on earth. There is a deep bond between the two communities, and we join them in Heaven to worship and praise God unceasingly when we come to worship God.

To my understanding, there are three Church festivals that we celebrate grandly, far from knowing what is being genuinely celebrated. They are Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. When Jesus was born, there was no room for them in the inn and so they had to stay in a stable. That physical reality represents a spiritual reality that also occurred. There was no room for Jesus in the lives and hearts of many people of that time and the same reality continues today.
