Water Baptism

But the baptism in the Holy Spirit is not a substitute for Water Baptism. Neither is Water Baptism a substitute for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. They are two separate but complementary provisions of God for every person who comes to faith in Jesus Christ.

When are we commanded to baptize. According to Matthew, it is after they are taught. Baptism is an outward sign of the work that has already taken place in our lives by the Lord.

The Great Commission of evangelizing the world was given to the New Testament church. Jesus didn’t say anything that he didn’t mean. Our job is not complete until the convert is baptized.
