Jesus invites us to take part in his feast for the soul. He urges us to eat until we are full. Only he can satisfy our deepest hunger-the quest for eternal fellowship with him. Our main purpose in life is to get spiritual nourishment and eternal life.

Notice that Paul was thankful to God, but it was for these men that he was thankful. This does not seem like a very startling revelation until you begin to examine Paul's thinking all through the New Testament. You discover that man is the primary means by which Paul is made thankful.
