Those who are being persecuted need to keep the perspective as to why it is worth it to suffer. It is worth it because Jesus is worthy. It is worth it because God is on his throne.

2. Stand Firm And Hold Fast

The news and letters that were causing the alarm for the church at Thessalonica was that they missed Jesus coming again. But Paul is giving them something solid they can hear and read that will counter all the misinformation.

3. Rapid Advance Of The Gospel

Thessalonica was a wonderful testimony to a rapid advance approach to ministry. Paul mentions being there three sabbaths (Acts 17:2). There were many who were won to Christ and built up in faith in this short time before the team, Paul, Silas and Timothy moved on.
