We read in Lev. 14 of the ritual that persons healed of leprosy would go through. One bird was sacrificed and another set free. We who are in Christ need to see ourselves as birds set free.

The Law is examined here – the Law is holy and it is spiritual. Romans 7 is about a man under the Law trying to meet the standards of the Law but is defeated by his own sinfulness. Our verses bring this out. It has nothing to do with the Christian and his new nature fighting the old nature.
