The Lord’s Supper is so significant that when astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin because the first people in history to walk on the Moon, Aldrin celebrated the auspicious occasion by taking the Lord’s Supper.

Jesus never asked His disciples to remember His birth. But He did instruct them to remember His death and resurrection. Paul, in I Corinthians 10:23-34, reminds us that if we would eat and drink this Supper to our benefit, we must be looking in four directions. In communion, we must be looking back, looking ahead, looking within and looking around.
