The average American has $9000 in credit card debt. $9000, just in credit card debt. That’s not student loans, home mortgages, car payments or anything else. That’s just credit card debt. Why is it, that we who live in the wealthiest country in the world ... live in debt? Do we not have enough? Are we charging bread and milk and cheerios on our credit cards?

Or are we driving cars that are more expensive than we can afford, living in houses that are beyond our means, operating cell phones and computers and IPods and Televisions and every new toy under the sun that we think we just can’t live without?
