[349]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - WITHOUT SOLUTION OR IS IT?
There are people in the world who worry where the world is heading. They worry about their own lives and their futures. The pressures of life are mounting all over the world and some really tragic things are happening. This is not unforseen by God who told us – {{2 Timothy 3:1 “Realise this, that in the last days DIFFICULT TIMES WILL COME.”}} (days of hardship)
One of the outcomes of evolution is that man thinks he is not much different from an animal and has no existence apart from this physical life. Therefore he is like a person moving around as one blindfolded.
I sense that more and more people are becoming fatalistic, and that would be because without Christ in their lives, they see no purpose and nothing satisfies. There is an emptiness that leads to drugs and alcohol (another drug). Suicides are on the increase.
“What is the purpose of life?” some will say. They think this way ? {{1 Corinthians 15:32 If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.”}}. Others will think this way ? {{Luke 12:19 and I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come. TAKE YOUR EASE, EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY,”’}}
I understand that life is meaningless without God because a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ makes sense of everything. We know where we are going and who goes with us on life’s journey. The Holy Spirit gives us God’s perspective through His word.
The poem attempts to examine this whole aspect of the reason for life and its turmoil and futility and the emptiness of it. Life and the future do have meaning when the Lord is at the centre of your life. It is a serious poem.
I have divided the poem into three PARTS. I have called those – The INTRODUCTION; THE FATALISTIC POSITION; THE CHRISTIAN EXPLANATION AND OUTCOME.

Jesus did many miracles but only 2 are told about in all four Gospels. One is the miracle of Jesus' resurrection... and the other is the miracle of the feeding of the 5000. The question is "Why are these 2 the only miracles listed that in all 4?"
