[328]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - WAKE UP AND READ THE SIGNS!
Those who might follow my writing know that sometimes I address current events and prophetic subjects (eschatology). The reason for doing that is that we might understand the signs of the times. Look at what Jesus said in reprimanding the Pharisees for not understanding the times they lived in –
{{Matthew 16:1-3 The Pharisees and Sadducees came up and testing Him, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven but He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky BUT CANNOT DISCERN THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES?”}}
People in the world are worried about the war in Iran, and the cost of living and the progress of misery and wickedness in the world. That is normal.
BUT the Christian should be lifted up from that. Yes, the Christian is concerned about those things, BUT he/she must place all these happenings in perspective. Why do we have these problems in the world?
Well, yes, we would answer, “It is all because of sin,” but it is more than that. What is happening now in the world is pointing to some great events soon to burst on the scene in this world.
I get criticised sometimes in emails because I believe in the Rapture. Some think Jesus comes back (the Second Coming) and that is the end of it all. Some call me a heretic. Revelation is written off as fantasy and all the Old Testament prophetic scriptures about the Day of the LORD and Israel’s restoration are not taken literally.
I am unapologetic about the Rapture soon to come that removes the Church before the great Tribulation takes place (nearly all of Revelation and Matthew 24). God’s judgement must happen against the increasing wickedness in the world or the holiness of God means nothing. Holiness and righteousness must confront evil; it can not overlook it.
However when that happens in the world beginning with Revelation chapter 6, God is not going to put His believers through that because Jesus Christ took the wrath for sin FOR ME and God can not subject His people to that. Jesus bore it for them. That is why they are removed in the Rapture first.
I don’t think I need to explain all the lines of the poem. You should be able to discover the meaning yourselves with careful reading. I did mention “the Greater light” and that is the Lord Jesus who will come as in this passage -
{{1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 “We do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus, for this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep, FOR THE LORD HIMSELF WILL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN WITH A SHOUT, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.”}}
The Lord bless all who read these words and who take note of world events.
=========================================================
WAKE UP AND READ THE SIGNS!
The days are growing dimmer now,
And darker are the clouds in view.
Horizon light is blacker grey;
The hint of what will soon accrue.
All nature shows what we can learn;
Portends what things must lie ahead,
And from it let the wise discern;
In Nature’s footsteps let us tread.
================
The glory of the Lord’s return:
The Rapture soon must be fulfilled,
To take His own in instant call
According as the Father willed.
The Bridegroom comes in loving quest
To snatch away His blood-bought Bride,
For her to partake of His rest
And evermore be by His side.
================
As that time looms we watch events.
The darkened clouds of this world’s clock,
The prophecies of “the last days,”
Of each new climax we take stock.
And so the Greater Light will come
To overshadow this world’s gloom.
Arrogant voices will be dumb
Because for Christ, they had no room.
