[282]. A Message From A Poem – The Lord Will Never Fail Me
Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Jan 31, 2026 (message contributor)
[282]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE LORD WILL NEVER FAIL ME (possible song)
This is a more unusual poem and in my mind, there was the possibility of a song. The poem has rhythm which is necessary for singing. The metre may defeat that though but not a problem for a good musician. I love music but can’t compose.
The whole poem is about the Lord keeping His own children. Most important is this statement – {{Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have, for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?”}}
What do you think of those called true Christians who do not have troubles and heartaches? Well, my answer is that they are not true Christians. Why would I say that? Here is why – {{John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. IN THE WORLD YOU HAVE TRIBULATION, but take courage. I have overcome the world.”}}. The AV translates “trouble” for “tribulation”.
Trouble may/will come, but there is a peace and understanding the Lord gives in trial. Failure may come also but the restoration of the Lord restores peace. Our God is a wonderful God.
Jesus will NEVER fail His own saints. I am sure we do not appreciate the depth of love the Lord has for us, and that is so amazing that the Creator of the universe can love with such compassion those who sinned and rebelled against Him.
I hope you like the poem.
=============================================================
THE LORD WILL NEVER FAIL ME
In those times of trial and woe
That we have down here below . . .
He will never, never leave me.
He will ever, ever keep me.
No . . . the Lord . . . will never fail me!
================
When your prospects look so grim,
And the outlook all is dim,
And you’re pushed out on a limb,
Or our eyes are not on Him . . .
This, my brother, is just . . . for . . . you . . .
================
In those times of trial and woe
That we have down here below . . .
He will never, never leave me.
He will ever, ever keep me.
No . . . the Lord . . . will never fail me!
================
Never, ever will He do it.
He will keep you right on through it.
Never, ever will you rue it
When He holds you in His hand.
================
Persecution lifts its head.
Day’s events you almost dread.
When the rocky path you tread,
And to trouble you seem wed . . .
This, my brother, is just . . . for . . . you . . .
================
In those times of trial and woe
That we have down here below . . .
He will never, never leave me.
He will ever, ever keep me.
No . . . the Lord . . . will never fail me!
================
When your friends just let you down,
And you wear that saddened frown;
Sorrows place on you their gown,
Heartaches all, compose your crown . . .
This, my brother, is just . . . for . . . you . . .
================
In those times of trial and woe
That we have down here below . . .
He will never, never leave me.
He will ever, ever keep me.
No . . . the Lord . . . will never fail me!
================
Jesus Christ your pathway knows.
He, Himself, who beat all foes,
Suffered sorrow, pain and blows
He, to you, compassion shows . . .
This, my brother, is just . . . for . . . you . . .
================
In those times of trial and woe
That we have down here below . . .
He will never, never leave me.
He will ever, ever keep me.
No . . . the Lord . . . will never fail me!
================
Never, ever will He do it.
He will keep you right on through it.
Never, ever will you rue it,
When He holds you in His hand.
================
