[264]. A Message From A Poem – The Facts Of Life
Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Jan 14, 2026 (message contributor)
[264]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE FACTS OF LIFE
This is a simple enough poem but it contains important information.
I have called it “The Facts of Life,” not the normally understood application of that term, but the facts pertinent to the Christian life lived here on earth.
The poem is in four groups of three. I suppose you can say these are insights in our Christian walk.
There are so many verses to be applied to this poem from scripture but I am only going to put two here –
{{Romans 15:7 “Wherefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us TO THE GLORY OF GOD.”}}
{{1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all TO THE GLORY OF GOD.”}}
Lives are to be lived to the glory of God.
Can we fail? Yes, to our shame.
Get up and keep walking in the grace of God.
=========================================================
THE FACTS OF LIFE
All through my present life,
With its joys and its strife,
I’ll walk with the Lord at hand.
==============
I can not see ahead,
Or untangle life’s thread,
But the Lord will understand.
==============
The journey must be done,
Where victory is won,
And crowned on the golden strand.
============== ==============
This world is not my friend,
But I know in the end,
To the Lord, I give account.
==============
Don’t let the reigns be slack,
Or in trial, turn your back,
And never, the Lord discount.
==============
There is no truer Guide,
As One who will abide;
Your problems He’ll help surmount.
============== ==============
Our time on earth is brief,
‘Midst joyfulness or grief,
But God helps us look ahead.
==============
The time will soon appear,
When all that is sincere,
Replaces the wrong instead.
==============
Until then, we must live;
To God our all, must give;
Be wise, and don’t be misled.
============== ==============
Lord, give me grace to be,
That which You want for me,
Walking always in the light.
==============
Give me Your desire,
And my life inspire,
To walk by faith, not by sight.
==============
Increase my love for You,
To be earnest and true,
That it will always be bright.
Amen
