[099]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – GLORIOUS TRUTHS FROM ROMANS
Romans is the most doctrinal book in the Bible so it would be impossible to cover all the points in a poem. I am currently working through Romans in a commentary – https://sermoncentral.com/sermon-series/messages-in-the-book-of-romans-sermon-series-from-ron-ferguson-23222
All the great words are in Romans, among them, justification, grace, Law, redemption, reconciliation, righteousness, condemnation, transgression, are full studies individually. I touch on these in the poem but only in the briefest way.
JUSTIFICATION – {{Romans 4:25 “He who was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of OUR JUSTIFICATION.” Romans 5:18 “Then so as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted JUSTIFICATION OF LIFE to all men,”}}
GRACE – {{Romans 5:15 The free gift is not like the transgression, for if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did THE GRACE OF GOD and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many;”}}
REDEMPTION – {{Romans 3:24 “being justified as a gift by His grace through the REDEMPTION which is in Christ Jesus.”}}
RECONCILIATION – {{Romans 5:11 “Not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”}}
CONDEMNATION – {{Romans 5:18 “Then so as through one transgression THERE RESULTED CONDEMNATION to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men,”}}
RIGHTEOUSNESS – {{Romans 4:5 “but to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness,”}}
TRANSGRESSION – {{Romans 5:16 “and the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned, for on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification.”}}

GLORIOUS TRUTHS FROM ROMANS
The penalty for sin’s transgression
Fell upon Edenic man.
The human race knows sin’s progression;
And from holiness, a ban.
============================
God’s grace has met all our transgression,
Justified we are by blood.
The love of God has found expression -
In our hearts, flows like a flood.
============================
Rebellion once, is now concluded,
Jesus Christ has brought us nigh.
Our sins left us blind and deluded,
But Christ’s blood God did apply.
============================
Lord Jesus Christ, our expiation -
Justified by grace, there’s peace.
From heav’n He came to win salvation,
Captive ones can find release.
============================
To righteousness from condemnation -
This the Lord for us has done.
To full assurance from damnation -
Blesséd priv’lege He has won.
============================
Acceptance now and not exclusion -
Ceased with God our enmity.
Established now, is full communion
Lasting for eternity.
============================
Through Christ we live in full redemption.
He’s the One who loosed our bands.
And there is now not one exemption
For a faith with opened hands.
============================
God’s grace has now super-abounded
Over all of mankind’s sin.
Now in salvation we’ve been grounded;
Life eternal we will win.
============================
Our Lord has loved us and He’s cleansed us;
Resurrected life is ours.
He’s freed us, blessed us, and upholds us;
With His Spirit He endows.
