8 Lies Addictive Gamblers Tell Themselves
1. "One more trip to gamble won't hurt anything."
2. "I need to go gamble to see my friends."
3. "I'm a loser, so who cares if I gamble."
4. "I deserve to gamble, because I have had a hard week."
5. "Gambling is how I handle stress."
6. "Nobody is perfect; everyone has problems; gambling just happens to be mine."
7. "This is the last time I'm going to gamble."
8. "Gambling isn't my problem; other people are the real problem."
Proverbs 2:11 - He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.
Proverbs 13:11 - Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.
Remember the prodigal son – he wanted to strike it rich quickly benefitting from the labor of someone else. He ended up in poverty.

This is the Labor Day Weekend. (Strange holiday) While we call it "Labor Day," we try to do as little labor as possible and most working people have the day off. Nobody has wished me a "Happy Labor Day".
