The Covenant Of Works | The Tree Of Knowledge
Shared on: Feb 20, 2023
One of the most intriguing chapters of Scripture is the Fall that took place in the Garden of Eden. While it is shrouded with many questions that the text doesn't address, there is nevertheless a central message for the people of God. If Adam would have obeyed God's commandment, all of humanity would have entered into a perfect and perpetual state of obedience as we passed into glorification. However, all mankind fell in Adam and were plunged into death, sin, and depravity. And yet, even in the Fall, there is hope as God promises a coming Redeemer. Where Adam failed to uphold God's Law, Christ has perfectly obeyed it on our behalf. Christ is the New Federal Head. May you plead with your congregation to abide in Christ as they are no longer alive in Adam, but are alive in Christ.
