  • Tenants, Taxes, And Eternity Series

Contributed by T.j. Conwell on Sep 21, 2014
     | 5,234 views

Man will only (ever) think of himself and what he can get out of God. It's important to realize that what our government asks for is different than what God requires of us. He requires us to obey Him, in EVERYTHING we do.

Tenants, Taxes, and Eternity Mark 12:1-27 - Jesus is demonstrated in this book as a “servant” - Jesus’ teachings, while difficult for some to deal with, are always timely -- God always allows us to hear from Him at just the right time - Tonight I’d like to give ...read more

Do we deserve God's commendation for our services to him. Well based on Paul's converts at Thessalonica, I would say we do, because we love to serve the Lord in an age where it is unpopular and irrelevant, and to think of others before our ourselves.

This sermon was delivered to St Oswald’s in Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland on the 19th October 2014 (a Scottish Episcopal Church in the Dioceses of Glasgow and Dumfries).      | 28,430 views

One might think living an abundant life would be about having a surplus of money, things, power, etc. But the abundant life that Jesus promises in John 10:10 is not about that. Let's see what living an abundant life in Christ is all about.

LIVING AN ABUNDANT LIFE 1) Jesus came to offer us the fullness of life. John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus starts out by talking about the thief-who is Satan. Study of the book of Isaiah, Chapter 7. If thinking about a coming Savior raises the hopes of a people, who were focused on the circumstances they were in rather than trusting God; how can we take encouragement from this because we already HAVE a Savior?

  • Being Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind

Contributed by Mark Roper on Feb 21, 2009
    based on 21 ratings

People who live long lives together eventually begin to sound alike, to talk alike, and even to think alike. As we walk with God, we take on his thoughts, his principles, and his attitudes. We take on his heart, mind, and personality.

Being Renewed in the Spirit of Your Mind Eph 4:17-24 NKJV As we walk as Christians, were in a battle for our minds. What does this mean? You will either be a person who controls your mind or you will be a person who is controlled by your mind. 1. Your mind is the doorway into who we ...read more

God designed for humans to think, feel, speak, and act in certain ways. As a race we have walked away from that and messed up the universe. God, through Jesus, has hit the reset button on our lives, giving us hope for a better life.

I was recently working with something on a website and every time I made a change it messed everything up. I was only digging myself deeper. Then I saw this little button that said “Reset to Default Settings.” I thought I’d give it a try and voila, it worked. In a way, Ephesians ...read more

God's timeless revelation -- His Word -- does not change. We live in a day of situational ethics and relative truth. The world is hearing a false message about what God thinks about homosexuality. We must tell them "the whole counsel of God."

THE CLEAR BIBLICAL PATTERN FOR SEXUALITY Homosexuality is being here addressed because it is the subject of a lot of false teaching and mistruth about what the Bible has to say. You and I can't be pleasing to God if we're practicing sexual sin, that is, ...read more
