    Revelation 13:11-18

Revelation 13:11-18 I had mentioned last week that as an unsaved person we are much like Satan in our relationship to God, and I am not sure if anyone had thought about that much more but I just wanted to share a few verse before we get started today that talks about who we were pre-salvation. ...read more

Our look at the twelve apostles continues with the “ inner circle”, or most notable in the Scriptures due to their words and work.

The list of the twelve ordinary men commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel always lists Simon Peter as the first due to his character, his devotion to Jesus, and was given the task of being the leader of the twelve and be both the pastor and teacher to the “ sheep” and “lambs” ...read more

Contributed by Chris Layton on Jul 17, 2025
     | 368 views

We live in a time where "truth" is increasingly viewed as subjective—flexible depending on personal preferences, emotions, or convenience. Today we have “My Truth”, “Your Truth”, and Their Truth”. But Scripture is clear that there is only one “TRUTH” – God’s.

  • Do We Submit Ourselves As We Should So That We Can Have A Healthy Christian Relationship?

Contributed by Chris Swanson on Jul 2, 2023
     | 622 views

Submission is a frequently abused word, but it does not mean turning oneself into a doormat. Unfortunately, many do not see it that way.

Submission is a frequently abused word. It does not mean turning into a doormat. Christ, at whose name "every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth" (Philippians 2:10), presented His will to the Father, and we honor Christ by following his ...read more

  • Setting Up Idols In Bethel

Contributed by Samuel M on Jul 10, 2023

First, Jeroboam built two idols and placed them in Bethel and Dan. Bethel means House of God and Dan means He judged. In the House of God, Jeroboam erected an idol—the golden calf. Jeroboam setup up a new altar to offer sacrifices before the golden calf.

Then he made two golden calves, and he said to the people, “Going to Jerusalem is too difficult for you. Israel, here is your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt.” He set up one in Bethel, and put the other in Dan. 1 Kings 12:28,29 First, Jeroboam built two idols and placed them in Bethel ...read more

Contributed by Ron Ferguson on Aug 1, 2025
     | 119 views

In the conclusion to the Parable of the Sower we consider two things. One is the connection between this parable and the Church at Ephesus (Revelation 2), and the other is seeing how this Parable connects with the Apostolic period of Church History.

PARABLES OF THE KINGDOM – THE FIRST - THE SOWER OR RATHER THE SOIL – Part 7 of 7 This final message is covering some new ground for you. We have been looking at the Parable of the Sower and now look into its position in Church History. It is a shorter message. TWO INTERESTING, IMPORTANT ...read more

Contributed by Paul Andrew on Aug 8, 2025
     | 164 views

Jesus is coming for you when he is ready, not when you get ready.

Our Gospel parable today of the Supervising Servant tells us that everybody has a day when we will be judged immediately after death, but the day and time is unspecified, and so Jesus is giving a series of admonitions saying to be prepared and vigilant. Jesus probably delivered the parable as a ...read more

Contributed by Cesar Datuin on Jul 18, 2022
     | 2,183 views

All scars have a story to tell. Jesus has His own scars when He went up to heaven to tell His Father all the wounds He need to bear. These scars are the very reason why we are getting our healing. Let These scars heal us as we read this exhortation.

Text transmission is a critical part of our faith. We must be assured we have heard from God. Here is a comparison of the two processes that brought forth the 2 Holy Books of our faiths.

Lesson 9, Which Comes First? Is it a full-blown religion, or a Book, that comes first from God? Strange question, perhaps, but important, I think. Possible answer one: In Israel, it was the religion. That is, the encounter. For many hundreds of years, there was no full book in Israel. But the ...read more

Contributed by Clark Tanner on Nov 9, 2000
    based on 146 ratings

Sometimes Jesus gives us answers we don’t want to hear...sometimes He answers the questions we should have asked.

I want you to consider John the Baptist. It is so easy for us to take a cursory look at this man, as we pass through the early chapters of the Gospels, and move on to study the ministry of Jesus with no more thought given to the Baptist, other than remembering him as the one who had the solemn ...read more

    A Christmas sermon
