Jesus called those who were Fishermen to become "Fishers of Men". This signified the spiritual focus they were to have in their lives as they followed Christ. Their true calling involved more than seeking to catch fish with a net, it involved catching men’s souls through the Gospel.

What does it mean to follow Jesus? What does it mean to hear "the Master's call?" "Many are called but few are chosen," the Bible says. In order to understand that statement, we may say that many are called but few really respond to that call.
