When the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples of Jesus on that first Whitsunday in a very real sense the Church was born. When a child is born we celebrate annually the date of that birth by giving presents but on the Church's birthday we receive.

God Pointing To God

In the Bible we see a wonderful example in the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament He points to God (the Father). In the New Testament He points of Jesus. He never points to Himself. What a beautiful example and source of empowerment He is for us! PTL!!
