The Church is known as Christ’s body, but as in the body we are many parts, each with different roles and abilities. We need to celebrate our differences while keeping hold of the One who is central to us all.

We got through trials sometimes. Jesus said that we will have troubles in this life but that we should take heart because he has overcome the world. This was preached at a military chapel but it could easily be preached in a civilian church.

-We’re in a war! -I know that the people in the military get that – they’ve deployed to fight in it -Their families know it – because they’ve missed their loved ones while they’ve been fighting -If you are a retiree you know it – because you’ve been there before -But I don’t think the American ...read more

The disciples look for the body of Jesus, but He is not there! He has already gone on ahead of them somewhere, just as He continues to keep moving beyond our reach!...

When I went to seminary - to Moore College in Newtown - there was a resident chapel there known as the Cash Chapel (named after the guy who donated it, not after how he paid for it). Now when people set up a church building or a chapel, they tend to design it with the communion table at the centre, ...read more

Although Christians might disagree as to when the rapture takes place, there are three truths about the coming Day of the Lord that no Bible-believing Christian can deny.

A Thief in the Night: The Plot Thickens (I Thessalonians 5:1-4) 1. Intro: The dreaded words every English or Math teacher hears are also dreaded by Pastors who teach the whole counsel of God. We don’t want to hear you ask, "What do I need this for?" 2. The Christian life is a life that is meant ...read more

  • Are You Living, Or Are You Dying? Series

Contributed by Nickolas Kooi on Oct 1, 2017
    based on 1 rating

My dorm mate used to say, "Are you living, or are you dying?" His saying brings up a point. What is living? As Paul sits in a dark, dank, depressing prison cell, he gives us and the Philippians an answer.

Are you living, or are you dying? One of my dormmates, Josh, would tell me that all the time. He would say that to encourage me to get out of my room, to stop studying, and to go have some fun, which, in his definition, would be living. Then what is dying? Well, that is what I was doing, and ...read more
