  • Experience: I was saved and called to preach on January 11, 1977 and began preaching in the local association of churches while attending college. During those college days I served two churches as interim pastor. I began pastoral ministry in 1982 and served eight churches as pastor up until 2005. I have served a variety of congregations from small town, rural, neighborhood, bi-vocational, downtown as well as county seat churches. During 2005 I served as Director of Counseling and Training with Christian Families Today a Discipleship Counseling Ministry. In January 2006 I returned to the neighborhood pastorate of Calvary Baptist in the Southern Baptist Convention and in May 2008 became Director of Missions for Carey Baptist Association Ashland, Alabama. After 16 years at Carey Association and 31 years as a Pastor I have re-treaded in ministry to preaching and counseling.
