98:1 says, “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.”
We are encouraged to sing a new song to the Lord. Why? God has done marvelous things, and He did them all by His right hand and holy arm, without human help. When we say something is marvelous, we mean it is remarkable, extraordinary, unforgettable, miraculous, etc.
