  • Guilty But Pardoned

Contributed by Glenn Pease on Mar 6, 2021
    based on 1 rating

Jesus was our Savior on the cross, but He was also our Judge, and He pardoned us for all of our unknown sins of omission that we can never confess. His forgiveness was universal and comprehensive.

If God did not pardon the guilty there would be no Gospel, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Even so, we feel there is a danger in being too merciful. Abraham Lincoln was accused of this during the Civil War when he seemed willing to pardon just about anyone. He would ...read more

Contributed by Doug Fannon on Apr 5, 2019
     | 4,295 views

A consequence of God's wrath is giving those who reject Him exactly what they asked for.

We have been looking and examining the wrath of God. As we have noted before, few people in the world have any real fear of God and His wrath. God wrath has an end time or eschatological element and present reality. We understand the punishment at the end of time. Revelation 20:15 (NKJV) And ...read more

  • Acts Of The Apostles (7 Of 39)

Contributed by Dr. Odell Belger on Mar 14, 2022
     | 1,242 views

Luke wrote to Theophilus, telling him of some of the great events of the early church.

As he tells of these events, it is like an unwinding story in which one event leads into the next. For example, after Pentecost, he leads into chapter 3, and tells of Peter and John going into the temple. He tells of the man who had been crippled from birth, asking them for alms. Luke related ...read more

God will judge mankind. There will be no need for lawyers; God does not need to listen to crooked defense strategies. There will be no need for remembering what actually happened; God is omniscient and omnipresent.

Alba 7-11-2021 JUDGMENT ACCORDING TO TRUTH Romans 2:1-11 Someone once quipped that the definition of a jury is: “Twelve people chosen to decide who has the best lawyer.” With the current state of litigation in America, it’s no wonder that people are openly skeptical about truth and justice in our ...read more

It's one thing to know what love is, and to be commanded to practice love; it's another to be committed to love!

Sermon on the Mount - Matthew 5

Matthew 5:13-14 (Jesus Teaches about Salt and Light) If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value. If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them, they are of little value to God. If we are too much like the world, we are worthless. Christians should not blend in with everyone ...read more

I cannot give away what I do not have, and so we must first be forgiven in order to forgive. We must believe in God's free grace of forgiveness before we can be free to forgive those who sin against us.

If God did not pardon the guilty there would be no Gospel, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Even so, we feel there is a danger in being too merciful.
