Jesus walked into the synagogue in Capernaum. When Jesus taught there was a striking difference to the norm. Not as the scribes and the teachers of the law. It says he taught as one who had authority.

Jesus introduced himself into people's lives, teaching with authority what the scribes failed to do (v22). Hos authority is ably exercised when he casts a demon out of a man with the unclean spirit (23-24). His powerful doctrine and actions amazed many observers (27-28)
