Notice, our Bible tells us in verse 19, that the disciples were “assembled” behind closed doors.

Many folks believe it is possible the doors were locked since the reason they were shut up was because they feared for their lives. At first the disciples doubted. But when faced with the evidence, they weighed it, tested it, and then acted upon it. Their verdict has stood the test of time. And the grounds on which they stood are the same grounds upon which we can stand.
