In our text we read of Israel’s greatest general. His name is Joshua. In Joshua 23, Joshua had reached the golden years of his life.

The life of Joshua, of the Bible, is unique in many ways. First, it is unique in that his name is mentioned in the Bible. If God had said nothing about him at all except to mention his name, that would have made him very special.
