  • Isaac, Son Of Abraham

Contributed by Jonathan Spurlock on Feb 8, 2021
     | 3,185 views

Isaac seems to have lived in the shadows of his father (Abraham) and his sons (Esau and Jacob). He is mentioned less than either of these, but he stayed faithful to the God of his father, Abraham. So can we!

Introduction: Isaac does not have as much coverage in the Bible as his father, Abraham, or his sons, Esau and Jacob. He still lived for the True and the Living God, serving Him much as Abraham had done and Jacob would do later on. Isaac outlived both father and son, finally dying at the age of 180. ...read more

Judah was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah. He failed, several times, but God forgave him and gave him a future to be proud of.

Introduction: Each of Jacob’s twelve sons was different from the others. That goes without saying, as any parent of more than one child will probably agree! Judah was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah and his name is related to the Hebrew word for “praise (Gen. 29:35)”. Some of his deeds might have ...read more

Contributed by I. Grant Spong on Jul 6, 2024
     | 514 views

Can God use very faulty people to fulfill His purposes? Let's look at Genesis 27.

Sometimes we are blessed, not because we deserve it, but because God has a greater purpose than our sins. A native American once said that European settlers did not deserve the land they stole, but they brought an even more valuable gift, the Gospel. Can God use people who must repent of lies and ...read more
