Can our prayers really change an all-powerful and all-knowing God’s mind? How does prayer work? We’re going to see prayer in action as we examine a prayer offered by Abraham to the Lord. He prayed boldly and the Lord responded. What can we learn from that prayer about the prayers we offer?

Abraham was the great intercessor of the Bible. This prayer of his for Sodom is the first intercessory prayer of the Bible, and it is one of the most remarkable prayers in all the Bible. An intercessor is one who pleads with God on behalf of others.

"Your will be done on earth as in heaven." We may not say the exact words but many of our prayers could be summarized with the words, “please let my will be done.” What's the answer to this paradox of prayer?
