  • An Outline Of Acts 19:21-41

Contributed by Jonathan Spurlock on Dec 1, 2023
     | 1,499 views

The loss of one's livelihood might well cause normal people to do some strange things. When Paul was in Ephesus, one man's speech to his co-workers led to a riot! How it started and ended is strange indeed.

Introduction: These last verses of Acts 19 show some of the opposition Paul faced as he taught the Truth of God and God’s Word to the people in Ephesus. Paul had seen the Lord work in a number of ways; now, he was going to experience some of the hatred the devil had for him and for all those who ...read more

I have done a lot of thinking about the problem of how to evaluate your own success in the ministry. We can say that we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others. That’s true, but we do it anyway.

Grumblers Anonymous Matthew 20:1-16 (I preached this sermon at the Spring Bible Conference at New Brunswick Bible Institute, April 26-29, 2007. The conference ended with the graduation ceremonies. This message was part of my series on the parables of Jesus.) I want to make a few predictions ...read more

Everyone is trying to find God – just as it was in those days, when Jesus was on the earth, so it is also in our day. • That Sinner!

Contributed by Andrew Moffatt on May 22, 2014
     | 3,652 views

A sermonette (I will use this at rest home services) about a bloke who had it so right with God it really make things quite messy in his relationships with his fellow man. Hey I'm just pleased I'm not like him. ;)

Jesus had a subtle and sometimes not so subtle way of getting through to people. I like how he delivers a message to a group of people who thought they had it bang on right with God, to a group of people who were confident that they had it right with God. Jesus tells them a story that actually cuts ...read more
