David’s cup overflowed because of NOTHING he did. His cup overflowed because of what God did through him. God chose David. There was not anything David could have done to earn this spot. No amount of chasing will get the job done if God is not in it.

Jesus comes with his need to a broken person( in his brokenness), not to burden him, but to bless him and make him a blessing for others. Meeting Jesus’s need in your lack and brokenness creates an avenue for Jesus to bless you and become a blessing to many others.

For training purposes, the supervisor suddenly handed the nurse a wine glass that happened to be on a nearby shelf. The "director" asked the nurse to "lose" her thumbs by tucking them into her palms. It was uncomfortable and difficult to hold the glass.
