  • Obeying God Is Not About The Rules

Contributed by Daren Mitchell on Mar 10, 2014
     | 4,948 views

This isn't about keeping a bunch of rules. We obey Jesus because we love our Heavenly Father, and we know it's not easy. We need each other, because we don't always succeed, sometimes we fail, we give in to our selfish nature, we don't always make the sacrifice.

When we talk about obeying God we're not talking about rule keeping. When you play a game, there are rules to the game. We don't play a lot of games in our family because we argue a lot about the rules. Does anyone else do this? I can't tell you how many times we've played a game that we ...read more

Introduction One October afternoon in 1982, Badger Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, was packed. More than 60,000 die-hard University of Wisconsin supporters were watching their football team take on the Michigan State Spartans. It soon became obvious that MSU had the better team. • A Promise Made Series

Contributed by Gordon Pike on Dec 13, 2018
     | 6,108 views

A faith promise prioritizes our faith, it is a sign of our trust and faith in God, and it decreases our faith in money and increases our faith in God. When we make our commitments, God doesn’t want us to do so out of guilt, compulsion, or fear from our love for Him, for His people, for His church.

Topic - First in a series on the covenant. Theme - The covenant according to O. Palmer Robertson, is a "bond in blood, divinely administered." Today we discuss this definition.

THE DEW OF HERMON. Psalm 133:1-3.
